Lightest and Blondest Ale?

Post by damonpeyo »

I am looking for a recipe that makes a very light coloured Ale, not dark/amber colour, I would like to make something different Ale. Bit like the standard colour of Pilsner, but Ale.

Anyone got any suggestions/ideas to help me?

Kit:
Coopers Canadian Blonde
1Kg LDME
12gm Cascade Hop boiled 20 mins with the LDME and about 5 litres of water
12gb Cascade steeped and added to primary.
SAFAle US56 yeast.

For AG and Extract see Palmers 'Lady Liberty Pale Ale' but replace the Crystal 60 with Crystal 20.

I've not made any of the above, just an off the cuff suggestion.

Cheers,
Greg
