Corona replica
Hi all, first time poster, long time reader!
I'm relatively new to beer brewing, each brew i've made, has been a brigalow special (basically that and plain white sugar) and quite nasty! But as it is coming up to summer i would really love to make a corona. Does anyone have a decent Corona replica recipe please?
I don't brew in bottles either, kegs all the way!
Thanks to all who post. :D

Coopers have a Mexican Cerveza kit:

I've heard varying reports as to whether it's any good or not, and I've never tried it myself, so I make no guarantees

There's a few recipes for the Mex Cervaza here:

I'm not sure how close to Corona they are though. This will be my first go at one.
I'm going to be putting this one down this weekend:
1 Can Coopers Mexican Cervaza
1kg Brew Enhancer 2
500g Dextrose
15g cascade hops pellets @ 20mins
SAFlager S-23 yeast

Just tasted this one twooooooooooooooooooooonight
(See Grammar Nazi Post)
Brewed 12-Sep-06
Coopers Mexican
1kg Dextrose (OK for Mex for a clear beer)
Yeast Standard, (Put in Parra Stein with temp at 26 degrees)
Saaz Flower 2.5 teaspoons (Strained) 10 Minutes in 70-80 Degree Water.
18 Degrees Fish Heater for minimum temp.
Racked 17/9/2006 and added Extra 4 teaspoons of Saaz flowers (chunks in, not strained) 5 Minutes in 70-80 Degree Water
Racked 10/10/06 to reduce chunks and tap clogging.
Racked again 11-Oct-06 and Bulk Primed with 180 Dextrose
Tested tonight as I said and it is brilliant. The Saaz Flower Hops, not pellets, have a really unique aroma and flavour.

A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.

Thanks for the recipe, i saw a lot of this sort of recipe on a few threads here, so i went and bought the ingredients last night. I went to get my fermenter ready and to my disgust, the fermenter isn't air tight anymore. I have one of the push lid type fermenters and i think the lid might have cracked. SO it's back to the HB shop tonight!possessed_haemorrhage wrote:There's a few recipes for the Mex Cervaza here:

At least the broken fermenter gave me extra time to ask extra questions!!! Anyone know what i do with the ingredients from here? I know it says @ 20 mins as quoted, but i do not understand... Sorry, still very green at the whole process . What goes on to the boil for 20 minutes, the BE2, dextrose and the hops?
thanks everyone :D
fragglerocks, I would chuck the BE2 and the dextrose in the pot and bring to the boil. Then add the hops and boil for 20 mins. Then turn off the heat and stir in the kit.Anyone know what i do with the ingredients from here? I know it says @ 20 mins as quoted, but i do not understand... You can probably add whatever you want to the boil, as long as the hops are boiled for 20 mins to get all the flavour out of them and the kit is added at flameout.
