The Wetpack contains everything you need for a brew. Compared to a tin $10, LDME $9, hop bag $3 and SAF yeast $4 the diff is 30 - (10 + 9 + 3 + 4) = $4.** Of the ones I have tried they are worth the extra $4.

Crowash I think the blurb says 6 ltrs but I would go larger if available.

When you add up all the extras you need to get this kind of beer, you are way ahead for $30 I reckon.

You need a pot big enough to take 2 tins of goo and a bit of water, without boiling over, or slopping out when you move it.

Agree the price is well worth it, they are great, i use a 15L pot to do these in and it about half fills it, maybe a little more once strain in the grain, works great but i think you would need at least 10-12 litre pot even though they do say 6, you dont want your $30 wort all over the oven

I'm about to order one of these wet packs, i've only brewed can and kilo type brews in the past. My question is, other than the big pot, what other stuff will I need?

These wetpacs sound the goods.

I have just bottled a 3kg ESB American Pale Ale, done with the light grain enhancer. Smells and tastes brilliant out of the the fermenter.

Does anyone want to comment on how these wetpacs compare to the 3kg ESB or x-tract range? Are they alot better?

Yeah got the hops and grain just panicked a little when i heard about 2 tins cos I was gunna brew tonight mind you if I have any more beer that ain't gunna happen!!!

My TCB APA has been in the bottle for 13 days today.
This afternooon (lunchtime) I put one bottle in the freezer compartment of my brew fridge. It will freeze things with the fridge running as a fermenter fridge at 12C, but will take a few days to get a warm bottle that cold. This evening I took it out and put it in my regular fridge, and took out a stubbie of LCPA. After an evening meal, and 2 more LCPA's, I opened my bottle of APA.


I can not find the words to describe how . . . . I brewed that

If Id been blindfolded and handed the glass to sample, Id have guessed LCPA and nothing else. A little flat, but to be expected from a racked and bulk primed beer thas only 13 days in the bottle, no . .

This brew is going to be lucky to mature properly and wont see christmas thats for sure. Lucky I have two more APA paks ready to brew up. I now know what Im brewing next.

good to hear m8, i have one thats been in the bottle for a couple of weeks now but i havent tried it yet, i will try in a couple of weeks and im looking very forward to it

My Mrs bought me a 12litre pot with lid from Big W for $18.00. I did my 1st APA in it and it was plenty big enough, i have just ordered another APA and the Classic Oak Ale, and a 3kg ESB Aussie Draught from TCB and a Newcastle Brown Ale and Boston Cream from Grumpy's, will keep you all posted
APA Wetpak is definately up there with the best ive brewed
