I can't help you with a recipe, but Duff beer was actually for sale in WA for a while. I believe it was brewed in SA by one of the big breweries. If you were trying to copy it, I'd say just go for a generic lager and christen it Duff.

Note - It got pulled off the market pretty quickly, I believe due to copyright issues.

Brew a Bud type thing, that should match it.

Duff cans are getting sold on ebay a fair bit - they're worth a bit too, at least $50 for a single can!!

A few of the auctions give you a history - in a nutshell Razorback Breweries in SA made them in 1995 but court action from The Simpsons creators forced them to stop making it. So they are pretty rare, hence the price!!

It so happens that there a brewery in little Dunedin, New Zealand (my home town) called McDuff's. It used to be Duff's, for as long as I can remember and possible longer than the fictious one. Problem is that some teetotaler at Fox decided that Duff was an exclusive title... hence McDuffs. They're were and still are suppliers to many a good student bash.

Too true. Know of a guy who HAD a case of them and was keeping them undrunk for this reason. Mates got hold them one night and every can got drunk.

Don't think he still sees those people.

Poor bastards at McDuffs.

It's the same as those idiots at Budweiser who wanted to change the name of Budweiser Budvar, claiming it was a copyright infringement.

Budweiser brewery- since 1860

Budweiser Budvar brewery- since 1265.

I've drunk this stuff before and for a simple beer, it's great.
I know which one I would rather drink.
