LOW FG - 0.998

has anyone had a FG lower than 0.998?

my OG was 1.038.

i am doind the TOOHEYS EXTRA DRY receipe (my wife loves it so i have to keep her happy).
THINKING IS THE HARDEST WORK THERE IS. THAT IS WHY SO FEW PEOPLE ENGAGE IN IT!

if your using a dry enzime then this is possible.

You'd expect a FG around this mark if you were making a wine, but it's pretty low for a beer!

It's an Enzyme you can buy from your HBS. & it also comes bundled in some Dry style beer kits.
You sprinkle it into the wort pre fermentation.
It basically breaksdown unfermentable sugars down into fermentable sugars (hence the higher attenuation & corresponding lower FG) & gives you a drier beer.

You can also get it in liquid form, small dropper bottles of around 7ml, and it's called 'Modiferm'.
