Aussie draught

Post by tazman67 »

I thought Id try for a Aussie draught;
Coopers draught
LDME 500g
Dextrose 500g
POR hops 20g for 20min boil, 10 min rest at flame out
Crystal Malt grain (60 EBC) 120g seeped
Safale S O4
Ferment at 20D for 1 week in primary, 2 weeks in secondary
Any tips,comments or refinements welcome
I brew the beer I drink

I'll have a go...

I would normally say: 'forget the dextrose, go all malt', but for an Aussie, it would work pretty well.

I would suggest 250g dextrose and bumping up the malt to 750g, or using 250g maltodextrin instead.

I'd put the PoR in for 30mins just to avoid any potential aroma. Let's face it, PoR aroma is feral.

And you'd probably be better with 200g crystal.
