Amber Ale Recipe

Post by quigley »

Hi folks,
I want to do an amber ale..... I have a Blue Mountain Lager kit, a can of Unhopped Amber Malt extract, plenty of Crystal grain, some Sazz hops and Saf US56 yeast.

What do you think??? should I use these ingredients (or add any others?), or just just use the BM Lager AS a lager and get something else for the amber ale?

Yeah id bung the SAAZ into the lager and stick to that style..

For the amber Id start with an ale kit like Morgans Royal Oak Amber Ale maybe ... and use Fuggles + some of yer crystal grain.

I made a really nice Amber a couple of months ago.

Got a James Squires converter kit from Brewcraft, added some extra hops, and some crystal malt.

Its smooth, creamy, yummy, with an awesome aroma.

My recipe is at this thread:

Hope this helps.
