Hi guys
I am planning to get a Coopers Australian Pale Ale going this weekend, I have the tin and a bag of Coopers BE2 to use. I want to add a few extras to it to spice it up a bit, so far I'm thinking 100g of Crystal grain steeped at 70c, 10g of Cascade at 10mins till flameout, and dry-hop with 15g. I was going to use Amarillo but my local didn't have any.
Would this work ok, or would I be better off using something else or leaving out all together?
A few additions to a CPA
Well I have this on the go now, I couldn't find my air-lock so I've gone the glad wrap method this time. I ended up steeping about 100g of crystal, and put in about 15g each of cascade and goldings, half 10 minutes before flame out and half dry hopped.
Although I went to rehydrate the coopers yeast and it did pretty much nothing, no foam or bubbles or any sort of action at all. So rather than risk extra lag-time getting going I used a random packet of Safale US-05 I had in the fridge, so hopefully that will turn out ok
