I looked in the back of the brew-cupboard yesterday, and found a hidden Coopers ginger, and a Bav lager. I was thinking of mixing them and seeing what happened.
Anyone tried this before?

Chris,
You never know until you try, but I would side with Pale_Ale. For me the artificial sweetner would put me off. A few years back I tried a commercial brew that was a lager style with ginger, quite nice for something different, I would guess that the fresh ginger would be the go.
Cheers for now

If it's subtle ginger then it's actually not bad.
I accidentally did this a while ago when I did a GB and immediately did a Coopers PA in the same fermenter. The ginger flavour came out of the plastic and into the beer so it had a nice subtle ginger aftertaste.
I don't know whether you'd want to make it too gingery though.
