) trying to get the balance right.....about time I say , normally mine are pretty hoppy and they probably will be in the future
Anyway came across the above site with more IBU's for the Coopers kits including the International series , but still the Mex dos not have a number. But they did steal my Strawberry Blonde name, not original I know but............
Looking at the prices, I think I'll be shipping Coopers o'seas myself

Trying to come to grips with the stated IBUs of Coopers Bitter & IPA. The bitter about 10 IBUs higher than the IPA?
Not from my experience. Would rate the IPA to be noticably higher than the Bitter. But that may just be me.
My confidence in Coopers' info is not boosted by their statement that IPA originated in Burton upon Trent. Strong evidence that this style was introduced by Hodgsons of East London about 20 years before Burtonians got into the act, more or less at the request of disenchanted Indian beer importers.
History suggests that once they got into their stride, the likes of Burton brewers Bass and Allsops produced an IPA superior to Hodgson's product. But they did not invent the style. "Much to the chagrin of Burton brewers..." goes one quote!
Why coudn't Coopers get this right? Or is it a case of them being right, and mainstream historians being wrong?
