Help with hop additions

Post by Ivesy »

I just finished putting Pale Ales Sparkling Golden Ale in the fermenter and was thinking about my next brew.
I have a Sparkling Ale can, a can of Morgans Pale Liquid Malt but want to use my Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau hops. I read on here somewhere they used these hops for the first of the J.S Hop Thief and thought i would try to make something along those lines. I dont like my beers real bitter, so can anyone help me with any recipe for my hop additions for this brew. And while i am at it what is the best way to learn about hop combinations, how much to add and so on. Is it just a matter of experimenting or is there any good reading on the subject??
Thanks in advance for any help!

If you like the hop flavour without excessive bitterness, boil you hops for 15-20mins- no more than that though.

And go with Lethal's idea re the programme download.
