Warmer weather???
Just curious, its been pretty cold in brisbane the last few months, now suddenly its gotten dramatically hotter, just wondering if this could do anything to my bottled beers? was drinking a Two Row lager of mine just now, the other day it was great but now it tastes like i brewed it too warm for a lager (you all know what that taste like) Its only been bottled 3 weeks but its was tastey enough to drink the other day, why would this one be different?

Yeah, I was a bit sick the last couple of days, I think i was mistaking the nelson sauvin hop flavours with the fruity yeast flavours hot weather giveswildschwein wrote:Yeah, I doubt that the higher temps have altered your finished beer. All the major characteristics are formed during fermentation. Might just be your tastebuds. Sometimes, I find the same batch of beer tastes different depending on how I'm feeling.

Yeah, but you didn't taste it after 3 weeks, it was really good aye, nelson sauvin hops rock!Turner wrote:if it's already finished fermentation then it should be fine
just give them a bit of time to age. put them in the fridge to lager up as well and you should have a shit-hot brew in no time. 3 weeks isnt really that long to wait in any case.

I'd definately reccommend it, I made a passionfruit lager with it and its brilliant, it has some great fruit characters. I also added a bit dry hopped to my last IPA do give it a nice fruit finish after the IPA bitterness. Its now one of my favorite hops next to Amarillo.TommyH wrote:Have never tried nelson sauvin.
Anyone else here recommend it?
