hi
i tried something new with my latest brew and boiled the hops for a little while for extra bitterness. problem is the teabag split and all the hops went to mush. figured this would just float on top or settle to the bottom of fermenter but hydrometer readings have hop particles in the beer.
what should i do??
should i rack to get most of it out and then let the rest settle, rack again then bottle?
or is there a simple way to filter it out while racking?
from taste this is going to be a great beer and i dont wanna waste it.
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
thanks in advance
hops all through beer

Two options spring to mind.
1) rack it- I never really get hop particles in 2ndary even though I don't strain or anything when I add the wort to primary. They just seem to settle out.
2) If you are worried about hops getting through, when you rack, put a stocking or hop bag over the end of the hose (use a rubber band to hold it on). This acts as a filter of sorts. Don't be suprised to find little (if any) hop matter in there though.
