I have been thinking of this for a while, i did a search and many people had gone on about putting fruit into beer but never just fruit juice.
I have been thinking of doing a batch with say 3l of Golden Circle Mango Nectar. Its 35% mango puree and is really goopy. Mostly i was gonna use it cause its delicious but also because it has no preservatives. I dunno if preservatives would have any effect on the yeast thou.
I was going to use the "Brewiser Wheat Beer" kit i got lying around, or maybe getting a coopers pale ale kit like what was being leaned toward in a MANGO BEER thread i read here.
So yeah.
Indeterminate Beerkit
3 Litre Fruit Juice
1kg dextrose.
Any suggestions?
Fruit Juice in Beer Instead of actual fruit.

Having never "contaminated" beer with fruit juice, I can't comment on adding the juice to the kit and fermenting that concoction but before you potentially destroy a beer kit, how about two alternative strategies?
1. Make the brew and add a dash of fruit juice when you pour the beer, or
2. Ferment an ale with S-04 yeast at around 28C so you deliberately introduce fruity esters to the final product. You'll soon find out whether you like a fruit juice beer or not!
Cheers,
TL

beerkit, 3lt juice and 1kg dex would have a decent alcohol kick to it, probably up past 7% at a guess.
the problem with the methods TL mentioned above are that the first one will be way sweeter than fermenting the juice out, and the second one, while being 'fruity', will probably turn out nothing like adding real juice. don't get me wrong though, it'll give you a good indicator of wether you like fruity flavours in beer.
that said, you could just grab a bottle of something fruity like LCPA or hoegaarden white to try that - amplify the fruitiness of that in your mind and you're getting there.
if you're prepared for the possibility of sacrificing the $20 or so of ingredients, go for it - i reckon it's worth a go

Hmmmm fruit in beer...
Reminds me of my early drinking days when we used to add red cordial to Carlton Draught/Coldies. Certainly makes for a good hangover....
On a serious note, I reckon a wheat brew with some pineapple juice would be great - almost tempted to tip a can of that golden circle stuff into the hefeweizen attempt I've got going ATM.

And don't forget the Belgian Peach Lambic Ale.
The peach is quite subtle - great beer.

Jesus is coming - look busy
Overall really happy with it as a starting point.
My changes next time will be at least 3Kg of fruit, and I will try to remove the skins much better as these didn't really dissolve in the brew.
Highly recommend apricot, but would be interested to taste a home brewed mango wheat. (the mango weissbeer I've tried is very tasty).
