maybe I'm a bit slow witted

First of all merry xmas everone!
Me and my son caught up with our friends at our favourit brewery/pub which is Holgates Brewery in Woodend VIic.Great beers, terrific food and the atmophere is wounderful we try to get at least once a month for a feed and a drink.Which brings me to my point although Coopers Sparkiling ale is one of my favourite beers I dont undertand why you would travel all the way from Melbourne to Woodend and not sample one of Holgates Products and sip on a coopers all after noon! I go there to drink at that particular brewery /pub because I love there beers I can go to the local any time and drink a coopers at the bar.Maybe I've missed something here if I go to a brewery its to to try there beers .Its as silly to me as going all the way to the James Squires Brewery in Sydney and asking for a calton draught whats the point! of going there if you aint gunna drink the beer thats the point of going there in the first place ! any thoughts?

Agreed but at least they were drinking coopers. I was in the brewpub in Brisbane surrounded by f@#*ing wankers drinking coronas.

Despite the medium-term feud i have going with Holgates [the venue rather than the beer itself] i think that some of the people you found drinking there were probably locals rather than people who had travelled all the way from melb such as yourself - perhaps Coopers was an exciting Xmas change for them - at any rate thats my best effort at an explanation...

A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.
