is it safe to send some home brew to San Francisco, just thinking about the pressure in the plane and all that type of thing

I am 100% sure you can. I have sent numerous bottles of wine to my family back in the states. They recieved every bottle without a worry.

I recieved a couple of bottles of Absynth straight from Amsterdam in the post courtesy of my brother in law. I know there is a limit, about 2 litres I think before you have to pay duty, but thats commercial grog and coming in to Aus, not too sure about HB, surely they can't charge duty on something that you made

I bet they can! Otherwise Coopers would 'homebrew' all their beer here, then mail it duty free to the US to sell
