Just wondering, why no posts from your brewing buddy, Geoff ? Does he not have an internet account ? Does he not like the forum ? Does he not have any hands and therefore cannot type ? Is it none of my business ?
So that's now a herculean six posts by (part) forum founder Geoff. One of them being a post telling us it was him.
As a frequent poster I would normally find this lack of forum attendance unacceptable, but since he did offer the excuse that he was busy drinking and brewing beer, all is forgiven. One hundred and seventeen brews under his belt is pretty damn respectable too.
I must confess I've never read a Rumpole. I have enough court room dramaof that during the day I guess. As for a stout in front of the fire, all I can say is bring on winter!
There was a very realistic British drama series about life as a barrister on TV a couple of years back called (I think) West Court. Well worth a look if you haven't caught up with it.
Yeah, saw that show. I think it was set in the North. I liked the predatory lady barrister, who seemed to have the same mating characteristics as a praying mantis.
The Rumpole books (in case you are not aware) were written by John Mortimer, a former Q.C.
And yes, bring on winter so I can drink some more of that Carlingford Stout!
I kind of liked the aloofness you had by not posting, It is like some mythical creature, a near god like being, occasionally blessing the great unwashed with pearls of brewing wisdom.
blah blah blah
Think I will get another beer now
