I would like to put the call out to the homebrewers of W.A.
I live in the south west of WA and for some absurb reason my friends insist on drinking "spirits", "TEDS" & "Carlton cold"..
They are no help to me when i want criticism and opinions on the "BEER I BREW"
I would like to start a group that meets once a month to discuss homebrewing, swap ideas, recipes, brewing experiences & experiments. Because there is no one that i can turn to for advice or comments on the beer that i brew.
This is only in early days so i am first searching for a favourable response to the homebrewers of W.A.
My wife is also favourable to beer and brews her own! ( Albeit honey, Chocolate & other wierd concoctions). But isnt that what were all about? Experimenting with every batch we brew!!!
I think the joining of like minded people to enjoy, comment & experience each other's brews and then discuss the experience would be a valuable resource to us all.
If you are interested in helping to start up a homebrewers group/club in the south west of W.A. Please let me know and I shall try to make it so!!! It doesnt matter whether you brew extract, extract and grains (like me) or you are a full mash brewer ( hoping to be) it would be great to have you aboard

Re: south west WA
Good idea if you can get it going, check to see if there are any brew clubs already in your area.
Just remember mate, you're the one who is drinking it, and you're the one who has to enjoy it...
I've done about 13 brews now(started in march) and really frown upon the beer I brewed at the start(still drinkable), but since ive been doing partial boils, full all extract brews, using spec grains and different hops, I really am taking a different path now.
I think within 3 months I will be doing AG. Just starting now to make a mash tun and will prob do a couple mini mashes before hand though to work into it...

TWOC have classes??? every Saturday??? I think.. Mainly for all-grain but getting involved in that would help you out.
Re: south west WA
Yeh i went to one there, very very helpful... especially answering all those niggling quesitons... plus there are a few samples afterwards....
I wouldnt call it a group or club though... its just a brew demonstration....
