Yes it is exported all over the world and available on tap in Ireland as is Caffreys, Redoak and other red ales. As Australia was made up of a lot of forced Irish immigrants I guess our drinking habits were inherited you could say. The Irish sure like their beer and the figures surprised me. At least we beat the Poms.

Kilkenny is a version of Smithwick's which is Ireland's number 1 ale. It was called Kilkenny for export markets due to difficulty pronouncing Smithwicks.

not sure if the source is that reliable, click on the reference at the bottom, it doesn't lead anywhere much, though admittedly there aren't really any other figures, everything else seems to quote the Wikipedia page. i can remember one from the readers digest in 06 though that had us at 9 in think.
