I had my B'day/Oktoberfest last Saturday...

It was great... 20 people (including the ladies)... BBQ, Beer... Simple.

BBQ consisted of bratwurst and cheese kranskis, mustards, saurkraut etc etc

beer consisted of:
15L of my okotbefest Lager,
5L of my bitburger,
5L of my hefe dunkel
5L of my dark lager
5L of fransizkaner hefe and
5L of kostrizer schwarzbier.
and about 6 weihenstephaners we had lying around in the fridge.
A few people brought their own beers too (farken TEDS).

It all went (except the TEDS)... i was happy that everyone liked the beer especially the oktoberfest Lager (Thanks for the recipe TL).

Oopma music was cranking all night...

I got smashed... must've been the 1L steins of fransizkaner and kostrizer i had later in the night.

Next year shall be better if i manage to get my Keg system set up... I got a bit sick of washing all those bottles...

Get into it everyone... its a piece of piss to organise an oktoberfest, just get all your mates to bring some german beer and a stein, and you can get the kranskis and bratwurst from any decent butcher..

I did end up getting all that merchandise from Weihenstephan too... that ended up taking 10 Months to get here, but it arrived 2 weeks ago...

I think i ended up taking a photo of the set up... I'll see if i can find it, and post it..

That sounds awesome James L.

I will be in a new house with a new brewery for next year so I'm already planning it.

I'm missing the pretzels this year!
Never tasted FREE beer I couldn't learn to like!

Ah! eisbein und sauerkraut down in Raatskeller of the Concordia Club Sydney at three oclock in the morning. They were the days. I drank unfathomable litres of Lowenbrau in that place.
