wheat malt

a friend of mine puts 150g of wheat dme into his beers ,so his recipe would be 1 tin coopers lager ,500g ldme 500 g dex and 150g of wheat malt with ans23 yeast brewed at 10degrees ,he says the wheat makes a big difference in flavour and head retention ,would this be true ,has any body any experience with this

I doubt 150g would give off much flavour IMO....especially a "big difference", but it does help the head retention.

Yep, as Boonie said. The wheat malt will give you better head, but not a major flavour change.

Yep! I agree with all of the above. I usually add 200gr of wheat in my brew that gives me lacing and quaffing rings down the inside of the glass.
