Hi all been some time, but Ive been lurking in the background reading all the info etc.
I have made many ciders and plenty of beers, mainly kit beers with small add in's.
However I have come across my first problem brewing, I put on a coopers dark ale with 1kg dextrose, no add ins just wanted something simple and quick and have never tried the dark ales. Anyway it started bubbling like mad which I thought was cool but then it kept blowing / bubbling the water out of the air lock a few times...I just kept adding water?? Anyone know the verdict with this one? Is the brew totalled???
Cheers

Cheers...thanx.

Re: Air lock bubbles over
You're not a real brewer unless you've had a brew climb out of the fermenter, spill out of the brewing fridge, and onto the floor.
Once you clean that lot up, you'll be reminded ever after to use a blow off tube with dark beers and wheat beers.
As Greg said, you'll be fine. Some of my best brews have done the escape act like yours.
