Holden.
I drive an old astra. It's so old it doesn't even look like the astra's today, it's a sedan. I don't think they make them in sedans anymore, but then I don't really give two shits so I'm not sure.
However, if I had the resources, I would go a Subaru. Also, saw an Evolution VIII on Topgear last night that I would strangle nuns to get. They raced it against a Lamborghini Murcielago, the stupid Lamborghini spun out.

Holden,
Fords have no class at all.
How ugly was the AU.
Can't win Bathurst either.

I'd rather push my Holden than drive a Ford
Not that I've got a Holden. I've only had two cars in my life ...
I've got a 1992 Nissan Pulsar Q that I bought new. Done 210,000km and still going strong. Great car. The wife drives it to work and I take the train (and work pays for a cab home if I finish after 9pm. Sweet!).
I've also got a 1953 Morris Minor Series II that I'm planning to restore.

I note from the motor show, that they are releasing a Turbo Territory, with 245kw.
THAT I wouldn't mind!

Seriously why??????
Where would you need that power...
I laugh when I see (+hear and smell) these huge motors pull off from the lights drinking away...
My 14yo Subie is 100KW and I can fill it to the gills turn on the aircon and have plenty of power...
The only reasons why you would need power like that is:
a) heavy towing
b) breaking the law (and I would STILL want a subie or other AWD car!)

NOT???????
Why do I need such power? Cause it's
FUN.
I do tow a camper trailer roughly 1,000kg, so power is required.
Geez - breaking the law

- you can break the law with a 50cc scooter, so that argument is a waste of time.
I laugh when I see (+hear and smell) these huge motors pull off from the lights drinking away...
And I laugh when I hear people carrying on with the old, tired argument, "why do you need so much power?"
If you're happy with a 100kw subaru, good for you. Have a ball.
Why do people see the need to come out with such weeny arguments?

I drive a Falcon wagon that has done 300000 km and is on gas, and it would not pull a sick man off a shithouse. But I love it. Before that I had an XF that had also done more miles than Sputnik, but it never let me down, and I loved that one too. Also have an old English sedan with all the fruit that will obligingly scream its tits off and put black marks on the road for when the ford is feeling mundane. You gotta have variety!
Good luck with the Morrie, Oliver!
