By the way did I mention that Eric Lindros is now a Leaf,
To come back to my original question, who won? and why would you want to win some ashes?

dogger.
the game is still ongoing, its more of a collection of games.
but the Aussies normally kick our asses, (no matter how hard we try to deny it) but we can smell blood this time, the wounded animal is week, and the predator is closing in for the kill.
and about the ashes..... well thats quite a long story, involving the wickets being burnt and put in a pot.

There are five games, but it is not the best of five.
Australia presently holds the Ashes.
The results of a game of cricket can be:
Win
Draw
Tie
Lose.
If Australia draws the series, we retain the Ashes. England must win the series to take the Ashes of us. In a series, you will often have a couple of draws maybe, so only three or so games will count.
England are looking like going 2-1 up from the current game, and two are left to go. So we could win another, draw the series 2-2, and retain the Ashes, or win both and win the series as well. If England wins another game, they get the Ashes.

Not a done deal at all. If Australia win the next and last test then they retain the ashes.
Not much sense drinking out of it if you could, it's about the size of an egg cup if I remember correctly.
