never-ending krausen

have put down a cal.common @13-14*C and used the wyeast 2112 (og 1.040 and 2lt starter on plate for 7 hrs)

mega-krausen has been happening for 14 Days!!! anyone had this happen?? ian
are cornflakes flaked corn?

I had 2 batches of similar Og, go off like a frog in a sock last year using Saflager S-23, a yeast I use regularily in winter without seeing this before or since.
Never worked out why!!
I could not pick the difference in the beer it produced either!!
So I wouldn't panic about it, the clean up is a pain though. I ended up using a lid (I normally use cling wrap) & a blow off tube into a coke bottle.
