2013 Easter Lotto
2013 Easter Lotto
Ok, its been a bit quiet around here lately. Let's see if there's enough interest for this quarters lotto draw.
Thinking we might draw on Easter Saturday 30 March.
Here are the ground rules: (thanks mostly to Jye of AHB)
1. Post in this thread to say you are in and add your name to the list.
2. The winner will be first valid number drawn out of the Tattslotto draw on Saturday the 30th March 2013 (draw 3307), if no winner the first drawn on the next Saturday's draw will be the winner (and so on until we have a winner), and all non-winners have to send that person a bottle of their finest brew. Lotto results are available at http://www.tatts.com.au
3. Bottles can be what ever you feel comfortable mailing (PET, glass or stubbies) and should come to about 750ml. It is up to the winner to notify all non-winners by PM of address details.
4. Beers should be mailed as soon as possible but no exact date is given as a deadline. The winner is at liberty to name and shame any welchers.
5. Please remember to attach a label so the winner can identify the beer and brewer.
6. You may enter more than once, but if you don't win you must send a bottle for each entry; each bottle must be a different beer.
7. The winner has two weeks after the draw to claim their win by posting a reply in this thread and PMing the non-winners with their name and address. In the event that the winner does not claim their win, a new winner will be decided using the Tatts draw 2 weeks after the original winner's number came up using the mehtod described in 2 above.

Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
Things have been a bit quiet of late, haven't they. A brand new site isn't far away, with a whole lot of new features, so that may spark some interest. I've only been working on it for the past 18 months ...
Anyway, I'm in. No.25.

Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
At this point I don't reckon I can get in. There are only a couple of bottles of the golden ale left, and they have been exposed to some pretty hardcore temps in the shed this summer. The other two beers I have in stock have both developed a curious flavour; not undrinkable, but NQR all the same. I do mean to have a brew day in the next couple of weeks, but the beer won't be ready for a month after that....
Currently drinking: BIAB DrS GA, BIAB Californian lager, doppelbock of sorts

Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
I was in two minds about entering as I'm not 100% sure I'd have time to brew another batch to post out but then realised it would be extremely bad manners to take my bat and ball and go home a paltry two lottos after having won. Worst comes to worst it'll be winner's choice from a nearby stockist of select brews.

In twice as I am yet to win a lotto. On the very unlikely chance I don't win, I'll send 2 beers to the winner.

Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
On rereading the rules it would seem that you are correct, Doc.
The numbers drawn were 41 40 43 29 4 33 3 2.
Perhaps for future draws we should modify the rules to say that if no one wins on the first drawn number we should defer to the second, and so on.
And in the meantime should we allow additional entries if anyone wants to come on board?
Oliver

Normally if the prize doesn't go off it jackpots......

Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
so next week is my week then
Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
The existing rules already allow for that. They say the first 'valid' number drawn, not the first number drawn. So if someone has the first number drawn they win, if not it then goes to the second number if someone has that.Oliver wrote: The numbers drawn were 41 40 43 29 4 33 3 2.

Oliver
Based on that emnpaul wins (I think thats not the first time, but your odds are increased with lower entries).
Shoot out those PM's with your address Paul. Congrats
Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
No.
As I said in an earlier post "it would be extremely bad manners to take my bat and ball and go home a paltry two lottos after having won" and that also goes for winning twice in four lottos. Whilst there are a number of highly respected brewers in the draw who have been entering lottos here and on that other site for a lot longer than me without having won one it would be wrong of me to claim the prize.
I say give it to the next winning number who hasn't won one yet. What do you reckon?

Re: 2013 Easter Lotto
Ok, given that no-one had any of the other numbers we'll go for a redraw this Saturday unless anyone has objections. Also, as Oliver has suggested I'm ok for anyone else to get on board, again if no one else has objections. Roll on.
