I haven't seen it anywhere...

and I probably wouldn't bother even if I did - don't trust 'em to produce anything decent

I've tried it and didn't think much of it - in fact it was bloody awful. I'd already had a few to drink at the time so I won't try and describe it in any detail, but it seemed harsh and unbalanced especially compared to the coopers pale ales that preceded it.

thought so - and with so many other smaller breweries (than CUB) around doing interesting beers, there is no reason to go for mass produced cub stuff

I'd say give it a go if you can find it, if only for interest's sake.

Paid $5 for a bottle at my local the other day and wasn't too impressed but I enjoyed it more than regular VB and Tooheys New.

Didn't buy a second though, went straight to the Squire's Amber Ale. Happy hour $2.50 a schooner.

Cheers,
Jay.

Daron,

I know that the Quarry Hotel in Brunswick is serving it - pretty sure it's $5 a bottle there as well.

Anstvb
"The Grand Hotel" - Corner of Bolton and Church streets (sorry if you knew where it was already - saves time if you didn't).
They seem to have a promotion of sorts on at the moment and still had the advertising up last Friday arvo.
Cheers,

Tried one at Bell's (South Melb).
Tastes like VB except maltier.

I, too, was going to nominate Bell's in South Melbourne.

I saw it there the other day as I was watching Adelaide beat Hawthorn.

Got pissed on other things (including the very nice stout that they brew on premises) and didn't get around to trying it.

My recollection is that it's pretty pricey.

It's a shame that it's just not soldover the counter at local bottle shop. I just want one. but not to go to a bloody pub and overspend. But i guess it's the only way to have a crack.

Do you barrack for Adealaide, Oliver? If so... GO THE MIGHTY ROOS!

Typical CUB crap. Did anybody honestly expected any additional variety of VB to be somewhat half decent?

Come on...

The product is now available for $9.99 a six pack in inner-city Sydney.

Who would have guessed that was coming...
