Gentlemen and Ladies,

There are only two sleeps left

And if you thought football was big, this is the coolest game on earth and the one which all Canadians stake every stich of National pride on, It even ended a strike by the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

And if you think this is large...........

Just wait for the Olympics in Feb, hope I can count on large cheers from Australia for the Canadian contingent, so large they can here you all the way to Torino, Italy

By the way, if anyone wants in a hockey pool, I have just the one. And it would be so cool for it to be international

Good stuff Dogger - great to hear it's finally back. I can't imagine what the reaction would be here if the AFL was to wipe out a season.

I hope the Penguins can go OK, with the best draft prospect in a while and a hopefully healthy El Magnifique they can only improve on last season!!

Does this mean that the NHL players have come back from europe and stopped whinging about not getting multi-million dollar pay rises?
I pretty much stopped following last season due to the fiasco with players going to europe and such.

Simon.
PS. I'm serious about not knowing what the situation with players, teams and contracts are at the moment.
