Dogger,

Australia has qualified for the world cup in 2006. This is the first time in 30 odd years that we have done so.

Overnight we have morphed into a nation of Soccer fans.

Quite a buzz in Martin Place this morning.

Cheers, and of course go the Socceroos!

What a friggin beauty !!!
Boy those South Americans can act. Some of those dives deserve an Oscar !
I live a bit out of town and at 11.30pm horns were blasting up and down the valley!
That doesn't even happen at grand finals time (any code).
Stoked. Great coverage on SBS as well -good on ya guys!
Also I enjoyed the tribute to Johnny Warren - good memories.
Cheers

we care wassa!

was a bloody great game, had me on the edge of the seat, hate having to go top penalties to decide such a big game. But them we have a world class keeper so not too big a problem.

I was born in '66 the last time England won a world cup, will I turn 40 in '06 and it be the first time Australia wins the world cup, lets hope so!! Be a great birthday pressie!

That penalty shoot-out was heart failure material!

Great game, though.

Oh, and not to be a sore winner but as far as the Uruguayans are concerned it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of blokes.

So you watched the West Indies bend over the barrel to get a 160-run rogering up the clacker and saw Australia score nunfer60 before stumps ON THE FIRST FARKEN DAY? God's gift to sport?
I seriously think it'll all be over Saturday morning, which screws up my weekend. Have to talk to the missus and kids or something ...

You think you got problems about it ending on Saturday morning?!?!?

The missus go tickets to sit in the corporate(sp?) box and get waited on hand and foot for food and more importantly BEER, and ALL DAY!!!!!

She does not want to take up the offer due to the fact of a concert on Sat. evening
