Sunbury Brew Shop

Post by Mackers »

With the Grain and Grape moving further away from us northerners, I was happy when the chief came home and told me that a new home brew shop had opened in Sunbury. It's between the post office and railway station. Dropped in the other day to find a wide selection. Unfortunately he doesn't crush the grains but I have my own grain mill.

If demand is for crushed grain, I am sure he'll start offering crushed grains soon enough.

Sunbury is a little to far for me to visit (from Northern Sydney Metro) but it is always good to see a new HBS open up.

If you like the proprieter, and like having the shop located there, do support them.

Cheers,
Greg.

This is great news. I'm moving to Woodend next month and with G&G getting further away I was desperately searching for a closer HBS, but nothing was coming up in Sunbury when I searched the net. Thanks for pinpointing it.

Gee, that's tough Daron. You'll be within walking distance of Holgate's Brewery!

Went to see the man on Sat.
Just opened and he doesn't yet have a fridge for liquid yeast but he is looking for one.
Bought a few nice to have supplies.
Great too see someone local.
PS - he says that he will take special orders if given a few days notice.

great to hear all these positive replies..the shop that looks after you is the shop you look after !!!
a grain cracker (and the grain that goes with it !) is a significant investment for a business just starting up, not so much in the $ involved but the risk that there may be little return. Talk to him, let him know your requirements and I am certain that he will prosper as will your brewing.

Hey guys,

was wondering how the water in the macedon ranges goes in your brews? I find it rather a heavy taste. I'm now in macedon and about to get cracking soon.

Cheers

Can you fellas tell me where exactly this shop is? I need an address or name so I can look it up. I'm not overly familiar with Sunbury. I'm keen to get a brew on the go and replenish some lost items from my move to Macedon over Xmas.

Thanks
