Being a new brewer I haven't read heaps of brewing books, but but of the few I have read:

Charlie Papazian's "The Complete Joy of Home Brewing"

It is an American book but it still has metric measurements in it. It covers from brewing with kits through to AG techniques. Even if you don't buy it I think it's worth getting a look at it for some of the tables that are in there.

I'm not a big refernece book fan Jack.
For reference info I use the WWW.
If you have regular access these 2 are fantastic.

Michael Jackson's info on beer styles, articles on breweries and history of beer is a great read.

On this, if there are any books not listed and you'd like to write a short review, just email it to me, with a scan/pic of the cover if you can.

Cheers,
