Doggers Take on Jamieson Mountain Ale

Post by Dogger Dan »

This was not what I was expecting and you know what......

Two thumbs up, dark, nice chocolate taste, solid beer. Certainly couldn't drink 24 at a sitting but I really liked this brew and it disappeared in a heart beat.

Good nose that hung on to the finish, well rounded so the chocolate didn't dominate.

Nice job to the brewer. Would never have pegged this as a wheat brew

Missus Dogger was pretty pleased with this one too.

i got a six pack of this one a few months back. i thought it was pretty good too.
i tried it again on thursday night after sampling a jamiesons brown ale & it tasted a little thin.. still a nice beer tho (for a wheat    )
i do prefer the brown tho i think. its much more maltier & has a slight hint of smokiness.
it's damn shame i recently missed a trip out to this brewery
