New to brewing and was wondering if anyone has found anything similar to the brilliant VB original ale?

Haven't tried to copy it but maybe try a coopers lager with 500g dex and 500g malt, Pride of ringwood hops and saflager yeast.

Thinkin about it maybe the coopers draught would be a better base

Saflager yeast? The VB original Ale is a real Ale, you want to be using Safale 04 or the Coopers kit yeast for that.

Have you tasted it!
It's not much different to VB, just slightly maltier. Not very aley at all.

Still better off using an Ale yeast when trying to replicate an ale, even one like that.

Yeah, tasted another last night.
I do think I'll make a quaffer for my mates using the kit yeast and then one with saflager, see how they compare.
