Will my ales still carbonate in the bottle with temps. dropping to around 12 degrees at night time,and going to around 19 to 20 degrees in the day??I can,t use lager yeasts at the moment as i don't have a brewing fridge.

yeah they'll just take a little longer.

Amen. I have had a brew sitting in the 2nd fermenter for over two weeks and I still think it's not quite there. I was all set to bottle about a week ago but when I took a reading it was 1.016. The cooler days we have been having had taken their toll. Perhaps a salutory warning to people to check the FG at this time of year especially or risk making weapons of massed carbonation.

Can anyone give an estimate as to how long it will take for carbination to complete at the temperatures mark mentioned?

The only way to tell for sure is leave them for 2 weeks pop one in the fridge to cool and try the next day, but I reckon two weeks should still be fine as the daytime temps, are still around 20c.

I always bottle a few in PET bottles

Easy to tell when they are carbonated, the bottle becomes rock hard
