Australian Beer Club
Hey , is anyone else a member of the Australian Beer Club ?? You get 4 x 6 Packs of various Microbrews from Australian Mircobrewers every quarter (seasonal tastes). I joined it at the last Good Food Show in Melbourne, had my first delivery, not bad at all. Just seeing who else has subscribed so when the next delivery comes i can compare notes with others

A woman walks into a bar and orders a double entendre, so the bartender gave her one !
I recently cancelled my subscription after they sent me Chopper Heavy & a few other questionable selections.

Heh. I was at one of my favourite shottlebops today and saw these little containers with Chopper's ugly mug on them.Anzac Cookies wrote:Yeah not a real fan of the Chopper Heavy either, some of the others are okchris. wrote:I recently cancelled my subscription after they sent me Chopper Heavy & a few other questionable selections.
Turns out they were flavoured peanuts.
Saw the poster on the way out: "Don't be a knob. Eat Chopper's Nuts."

"Ask most people to name a Mexican beer and they'll name Corona. Coincidentally, if you ask most people to name a bodily fluid, they'll name urine."

Shit I wish I knew about that earlier. I could have washed some of Choppers nuts down with a few Chopper Heavies whilst playing the Chopper board game - http://www.chopperreadthegame.com/MrDave wrote:Heh. f--- that reminds me I need to sign up to the newsletter so that I'm up to date on all things 'Chopper.'
...nah I think I'd rather just be a knob.
Back to the beer club. I agree some of the other selections were great (the Hargraves Hill Pale, Feral White, Bluetongue Pils, Crackenback Pale, Bootleg & Jamiesons beers are a few that spring to mind) but I felt they were starting to go a little downhill (read: aimed at "premium" beer drinkers)
& the recent 'winter' offering of watery pale ales & lagers was the last straw.
