I thought it was interesting that they're able to sell at 'farmer's markets' - so I had a quick look on the net.... apparently you can get 'Limited Licence' or a 'Vigneron's Licence'. May be of use to anyone heading down this path.

hmm very interesting, lots of food for thought there. maybe in ten years time...
