Grumpy's Newcastle Brown Ale Copy

Post by Anzac Cookies »

Hey all, without sounding stoopid, i was wondering what equipment one would need to make the Grumpy's NBA Extract recipe like the one at the bottom of this page ?

http://www.grumpys.com.au/phpshop/?page ... 1a01a01db6

I have done partials etc.., but would this one be a full mash?

I have not done one but from what i can tell its just an extract brew so i would think that all you would need is a nice size pot say 10-15L and a hotplate, if you need to you can email grumpy and ask, they are always very helpful and willing to pass on any info you may need

The original newcastle brown ale contains unmalted barley, caramel, flavour e 150,which i don't know anytjing about and plain sugar.I would love to know how they get these ingredients to meld without it tasting like beer cider. :o
