Xtract Pilsner

Made this at the same time as my fist TCB APA. I am not impressed, in fact I will be tipping all the bottles. It has a strange off flavour that I don't like.
I fermented at 12-15 c. Racked for 2 months. Diacetyl rest. Bottled about 2 months ago and do not like the finished product.
Anyone else made this and had different results?

i havent done this one but i have recently tried my xtract lager and while being nice, its certainly nothin to write home about, i have in the bottles a wetpack euro pilsner, apa and a classic oak that i think is magnificent but havent tried the other 2 yet, also have a wetpack southern lager in the fermenter at the moment so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

The xtract lager is the only xtract that i have done and like i said its not magnificent but its drinkable and i certainly wont be throwing it out, all i can suggest is leave it in the bottle for longer and just see how it matures..

The X-Tract lager and pilsner are both pretty good in my opinion. They're about the only kits I do any more. I do one batch of each every year.

They are definately better with a bit of crystal, as I like them a bit sweeter. Never had an off flavour though.

I didnt have any off flavour with the lager i did but just wasnt overly impressed with it compared to other lagers ive done but each to their own.

Love the wetpacks so far though

They probably work for me so well, simply because they are sooo easy to tweak. The guy at CB went a bit feral when I told him I changed things around a bit. They are pretty protective of them it seems.
