How many Schooners/Stubbies per day?
Just wondering how many drinks you guys have on a daily basis?
I go through phases where I might drink 5 or 6 a day more on Friday/Saturday nights.
Then I might go for a few weeks where I dont drink during the week at all.
Usually always drink Fri and Sat night without fail.

One or two per week night with one AFD per week. Friday night & weekend can be more but rarely more than 4 pints or 6 stubbies in any session. I try to balance the consumption with exersise as I've gained some "beer muscle" in the last year.
For a good ramble on consumption rates & taking time off drinking, check out this thread - http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/i ... opic=13944

Ride, Drink, Repeat.
I don't drink more than four stubbies a night during the week. Most often it will be two stubbies or one longneck. On weekends it's roughly the same if I am drinking at home. If I go to the pub with mates I would drink up to eight schooners. There is a guide to alcohol consumption. I think it has been mentioned somewhere here previously. I think it said 3(maybe 2) standard drinks a night, with one alcohol free night per week.
One longneck a night during the week, sometimes none. Never more.
Three-five longnecks a night on weekends, less if I have a bottle of wine.

How many did you have after 7:30 pm thoughBoonie wrote:Dec/Jan 4-6 Schooners a night.

Before starting Home Brewing - during the week up to 6 longnecks a night (usually not more than 5) weekends I don't count.
After starting Home Brewing and I've got a stockpile of beers to choose from I might do 3 longnecks a night during the week. Again weekends I don't count, but couldn't do more than 6.
Try to have 2 AFD in a week, doesn't always work though.
My conclusion - I'm learning more about beer and drinking my homebrews is more satifying tha commercial beer

It is men shouldn't have more than 4 standard drinks a day and should have an alcohol free day per week. Women shouldn't have more than 2 standard drinks a day and an alcohol free day.Chunk wrote: There is a guide to alcohol consumption. I think it has been mentioned somewhere here previously. I vary a lot. On average I'll say have the equivalent of 3 schooners per day.

well............no wonder the doc told me to cut back, when I was in my prime I would have spilled more than a lot of you blokes drink, I wish I had known, or believed a bit sooner what it was doing to me though. I never had AFDs, apart from years ago when I was working in the Pit lands and grog is illegal, we went dry for a couple of weeks at a time then. But apart from that, plenty every night, not that I ever kept score!
Now I have one maybe two longnecks a night, at least two AFDs a week and maybe one or two sessions a fortnight, but that only equates to four, maybe six longnecks per session.

After reading this thread, I may need some AFD (Alcohol Free Days) too.
My peak on a weekly basis was 6-8 schooners a night when I first started brewing as I could not wait to taste each one.
I have cut back, but AFD's seem to be the go.....man that's going to be hard.

A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.
