Leffe Brune Clone

Post by Rob C »

Just wondering if anyone has a clone for Leffe Brune. I dont do AG so something that uses a kit would be good.

Cheers

I found this one below.

Leffe Brune:

1. Muntons Continental Lager
2. 1.5kg Pale Liquid Malt
3. 500g Liquid Glucose
4. 25g Saaz Hop Pellets
5. 250g Chocolate Grain (cracked), in a grain bag
6. Safale yeast

Does that sound about right?

Cheers

That recipe looks like the Leffe Blonde recipes that you find + chocolate malt. I've brewed one batch of the Blonde clone and was not that impressed. One improvement would be to change the Safale to a Belgian yeast (Which you can get dry) to get some more authentic Belgian flavours in there.
