Hi Guys,
Anyone ever use a domestic Hot Water Cylinder for a HLT in an all grain set up?
I can get a decent priced 44 litre cylinder with 2KW element that can be set to 80C+ on a thermostat... just wondering if anyone else has gone this route... any problems???
Cheers

Hot Water Cylinder as HLT
Re: Hot Water Cylinder as HLT
The only problem I can think of is if it's mains pressure, you'd need some pretty full-on plumbing, and you'd need to watch the insulation when you're welding or the whole thing could go up in flames. I don't think it'd be worth it for a mains-pressure one. One of those old ones with a header tank would be OK though I reckon.
