Honey in a Cascades Spicy Ghost

Post by Hunter »

My miss's bought me a kilo of Honey, and I was thinking of chucking it in my next brew.

A tin of Cascades Spicy Ghost Draght
1 kilo of dextrose
1 kilo of honey

any reason why not?

1kg to me seems excessive.

I'd use 1/3 LME, 1/3 WME, 1/3 Honey.

Some cascade hops perhaps.

S05 =Yeast.

Bulk prime with honey.

How much honey would you use to bulk prime with?

This should help.

I use the lower end of the medium priming.

+ 1 on the honey & cascade combo.

Works a treat and should be just the thing to improve the Spicy Ghost.

Bulk priming with honey is a great way to increase the honey flavour of your brew. I would taste it before priming to make sure you don't over-honey it.

Cheers,
