How do you 'set' CO2 pressure?
How do you 'set' CO2 pressure?
Hi all,
So I have recently got a keggerator system and got my first brew in there, I have just put it together and poured my first beer (yum yum) (I brew at ubrewit and they carbonated the kegs for me)
What I am confused about it how to set the CO2 pressure for pouring and leaving?
I have turned the CO2 valve on and the pressure went up, but after a couple of pours the pressure is staying at a constant 17ish psi for the last 15/20 mins since it has been connected.
I have tried turning off the pressure and then turning back on but the gauge stays put, what am I doing wrong?

Re: How do you 'set' CO2 pressure?
Your pressure should stay relatively constant. I set mine to 80 odd psi. Anywhere between 80-100 would be fine, personal preference though really. When the keg gets low I tend to not up pressure as it just creates more foaming, just be patient with the pour
Beer numbs all zombies !!!

Also the guage won't change unless you release (purge air valve) or increase pressure. I also sometimes turn the gas off or just the current reg in use when keg starts getting low. Dual regs are awesome

You set the psi to 80psi to pour? I thought it should be between 11 and 17psi?rotten wrote:Your pressure should stay relatively constant. I set mine to 80 odd psi. Ps yeah I purged the regulator (i feel like an idiot now) and it went down and I have set it at about 15psi for pouring?
Re: How do you 'set' CO2 pressure?
80 psi = 11.6 psi. 100 psi = 14.5 psi.
My bad, been a long day

I know I have just been stalking everyone lol
No I joined originally as I started brewing with a coopers kit, and pretty much stopped for a few years
Now I have a keggerator and have done about 6 brews at ubrewit
