Vale

The good, the bad and the ugly of commercial beer and breweries, including microbreweries and craft breweries.

Vale

Post by Pogierob »

Today and for the neck couple of weeks I shall be drinking beer from vale.

Australian pale ale
Ipa

What can I say. It's past the "used by" by about 12 months.

It's beer though and tasty

Could be fine, depending on how its been stored I guess. Assume that is a 24 carton, and for $19 it's hard to go wrong.

Two of each into it now and quite satisfied that it was a good buy.

Next option is to buy "fresh samples" and test against the Out of date ones.

Double check if it is a 'best before' or 'best after' date on them.

You are right, they are best after stamped.
Yet it is still 12 months past the best after date.

12 months past the best-after date would mean, at a guess, that they're 14 months old. But for $19, who's complaining, particularly if they have been stored well.
