Dogger regains his Composure

All,

It is with great happiness that I can announce, on this momentous day, several wonderful things.

1. I have succesfully brewed an all grain lager. This is no laughing matter, It is difficult to do when you can only get your mitts on Ale yeast. Thank You SAF. Yummy to I might add.

2. After a frustrating day of work, being unable to find the dog and taking no solice in batting penguins out past the 300 marker (Lovely game that, we do the same thing here with Harp Seals, but thats another story) I decided to clean the tap, with which I was becoming frustrated. Cleaning proved to me once again that I am completly incompetent with anything mechanical as I had dicked up putting it back together the last time I cleaned it. Now my beer is nicely carbonated in the glass instead of blowing much of the carbonation off in the pour. Important safety tip, stop cleaning it after 6 beers or so.

3. We should have plenty to taste at Doggers September tasters. Currently there is only one confirmed guest, That being the Corporate Chef, who has graciously agreed to ply his trade in exchange for an invite. Another invite has gone to Jim Brickman, the Owner of Brick Brewing here in Canada who graciously opened his taps for me and some of my mates at a tasting of his own. (I thought it would only be polite to return the favour). Evo has made some noise regarding this but will wait and see. Albeit the date isn't set yet.

With that happy note, It should be time to brew some more beer. Like that Lager, might give it another go, very nice that.

great to hear that all is well in sunny Canada

As we say here Dogger all it takes is one powerball and I'm out of here, so if it happens I could end up over there

(powerball is a lotto variation, you know the the old pick 6 numbers from 40 or so and then see if yours come out of the barrell on Saturday night sort of gambling thing)

better get me a ticket in that one as well, ours is only at about 18M!!
