Siphons

Post by goq11k_76 »

hi all,

reading this web page this guy goes to great detail how to do a partial mash,

http://cruisenews.net/brewing/partial_mash/page1.php

my question is where can I get one of these siphons in australia to get the brew out of the glass carboy, I have one of these as a primary from brewing years ago

I will then rack into a plastic tub secondary with tap into keg

cheers all

Why don't you use the plastic for the primary and the glass for the secondary, some people recomend that.

yeah if I am to rack into the keg it is ok,

but for other batches coming up, I want to bottle the brew, so its a little ackward racking into bottles out of the glass tank

I can do the old suck and let gravity take care of the rest, but you have to worry about contamination etc,

although I did do a search and it lead me to a few alternatives on how to deal with the contamination factors
