Might wanna try to keep your temps down a bit mate. The yeast should act better and it will be a much better final product!

If it's the kit yeast from the Coopers tin then 17 to 18 would be fine i'd reckon.

Is the S23 only in the Bevarian kit? Not the real lager kit?

Im pretty sure thats right, i know the normal lager kit comes with an ale yeast as do most of coopers kits but im pretty sure the Bavarian has a true lager yeast

Strange, I made a Bevarian a few weeks back and the yeast packet looked the same as the one from the real lager kit I currently have. Though I am looking now and the only difference between the real ale real lager and real draught yeast sachets is the code on the back

Yeah there is a sticky above (in this Making Beer list) about Cooper's yeast. The only notable difference between packs is the code.
