cloudy white bits in beer

I've just put on two brews and have taken samples out from them.

Both samples are cloudy and have billions upon billions of white bits floating around in them. The beer has little aroma (but smells fine) and tastes slightly sour. Every single sample I've taken has masses of white bits floating ...

I just put two brews on a couple of days ago, I don't think I'll be putting another one on anytime soon. My house is rather cool but its getting too hot now for beer. Its fine in the morning/evening but during the day it gets bloody hot in Brissy.

You can tell its getting hotter and hotter by the ...

no smell coming out of airlock

I've just put two brews away and they are fermenting away quite nicely but I've noticed that the gas coming out of the airlock has almost no smell to it. All of the previous brews I've done have either smelt like they would taste or would have a rotten egg smell.

Is there anything to make from ...

it just doesnt crimp the same as the Brigalow with the rubber ring inside the bell housing. I don't think it matters though, ive capped a bottle with the rubber ring inside and water doesnt leak.

anyone own a super automatica?

I've bottled my first brew using my friends Brigalow bottle capper. When you push down on the lever, you can actually feel the crown seal crimp on to the bottle. I just scored a Super Automatica today and it doesnt seem to crimp the crown seal as well as the Brigalow. You can't actually feel the ...

On a side note, i just bottled my brew today and i decided to bottle until the last litre of brew. The last two tallies i filled i had to tilt the fermenter to get the beer to pour out. Im pretty sure i would have gotten alot of crud on the bottom of the fermenter in the bottles. Is this going to ...

its also to do with the oxygen requirements as well (i think) - ales are top fermenting cause they need more oxygen to live than their lager counterparts

I've thought of bulk priming, but then I've shot myself in the foot by using my second fermeter to brew another beer. I really dont have anymore room for another fermeter in the house.

Using processed sugar cubes to prime tallies

Has anyone used those processed white sugar cubes you can buy in supermarkets to prime beer with? The weight comes in at about 4-5 grams depending on brand. Seems like a cheaper alternative to carbonation drops.

I'm currently brewing a 3kg ESB Czech pilsner pack. Can't really tell if it will be good from the smell cause it currently emitting a rotten egg odour. The guy at my local HBS rates them though, its all you need in a can including hops and it comes with a saflager yeast too. Considering the ESB ...

The 'organic' craze does have its merits however how much positive difference you make to your body is debatable. But to each his own - it certainly doesn't hurt (except for your wallet) to go organic.

Weird green foam in my fermenter

I'm currently brewing a 3kg ESB Czech Pilsner pack. The pack has all fermentables including hops - i made it up to around 22L. There is this weird green foam that covers the surface relatively evenly. Am i right to say that this green layer is a combination of both hops and the lager yeast? Is this ...
