Right !!! Heres the long awaited recipe for fosters... ahhhhhem: fill kitchen sink with 20ltrs of water then add liquid detergent- doesnt make much differnce whhat brand- then froth up with whisk or egg-beater. drink from sink and enjoy?? aqnyway fellows you know what i mean! :? :?

Picked up an old temprite about when 18 gallon kegs cost 80 dollars - well well - they were still in operation at my local sport club up to a year ago until someone with amodernising streak decided to put those 'king cobra" units in. globalisation I put it down to. Why not! They know better ...

Well,I've just started a Pilsner with SAF and fermentation strarted 30 hrs after at 14c. 3 days later it has what one would call a foamy head with brown streaksin it . i live at an altitude of 1300mtrs maybe something to do with it. any opinions? Regards, GlenM.

I agree with Doggers comment about the flavour or aroma of different honies. It has to be said that some are daker than others and impart such to the beer. Some years ago i was a bar attendent at a RSL in nth NSw when fosters made a -play for the local market. Decals etal , free samples. Remarks ranged from[like soapy water to diluted cats piss with aroma similar].A fiasco of the first order. Glen.

Hmmm.. I recall a cartoon at a roadhouse called the 3 ways just nth of Tennant Creek NT. It depicted a horse drinking out of a bucket labelled VB whilst another bucket labelled Fosters was positioned near the outflow station.!! Glen

Thanks for the comments. Anyway decided to proceed with 2 kits with brown sugar dark malt with a maltodextrin/hop component;filled her up to the 30 ltr mark (large carboy). A grand reaction this morn' to be sure. Sauve qui peut , eh. Glen.

KB purportedly stood for Kent brewery in Sydney. A real mans beer withe real beer flavour!! not the first time that they'll sell people beer flavoured water. Glen.

Does anyone remember the dreadful Tooths KB? A real dog in my opinion. "shake hands with a cold gold" ha. Like VB only sweeter. Tooheys red currently holds the mantle. Tuly gives me the shivers thinking about it . Glen.
