Pilsner Recipe please

Post by yamaroo »

Hello All

I have been given a home brew kit from a friend and have decided
To try my hand at home brewing.
After reading through various web pages I would like to attempt a pilsner style Beer.
Being that its winter and I live in the Blue Mountains.

I haven't been to my local home brew shop yet but am planning a visit this afternoon.

I would like to be pointed in the right direction of were I might find a good recipe for pilsner and any tips and tricks anyone can pass on would be invaluable.

Thanks Nicol 8)

Hi Nicol,

I've moved your post to the recipes section. If you do a bit of browsing here you should come up with quite a few recipes for pilsner.

The main thing to remember is to use a true lager yeast with your pilsner.

Cheers,

Oliver

If you can get to a Country Brewer store get a 'Wals' Pilsner kit and brew it with an 'Ultrabrew' (500gm Light Dry Malt, 250gm each dextrose and maltodextrin) and steep in some pale grain - the TCB shop fellow should be able to talk you through the details, or a quick search of this forum.

Cheers,
Greg

Wals kits have hops in the tin. Looks revolting, works well.

Can I be a smarty and post an All Grain recipie?

Cheers,
